PhD Student
I am an ECE Master's student and my research is focused on making new breed of task-based optical systems. We are increasingly using machine learning to process the images that we take and instead of optimizing the two components: optics and algorithms, separately and sequentially, we can treat the entire chain as a single system and develop an end-to-end optimization framework. Such a learning-based framework can potentially create better sensor systems for a variety of tasks.
Outside of work, I like to do photography and cooking. I also spend time reading about history, general science, or some good fiction.
